Many of the stories currently running on HeroicStories are those originally published some years ago. A very common and legitimate question is some form of “what happened next?” or “can we get an update?”
The short answer is that, no. Unfortunately, I don’t have a way to contact the original author for an update.
As part of HeroicStories recovery from the death of its previous editor, while I was able, with the help of some readers, to rebuild the entire database of stories, the contact information for the original submitters/authors was lost.
Trust me, I’d love to hear updates as well.
The only time I’ve seen that happen is when the author, or someone acquainted with the individuals in the story, happens to leave a comment with more information.
